In this activity children discuss and learn about the importance of natural resources essential for life, particularly water. Children then discuss ways to protect water and the environment. (Part of the Compasito Human Rights Education Handbook).

In this creative activity students draw two different pictures of two different environments. One displays an environment in which they would like to live that other one they would not like to live in. By comparing both pictures and linking them to their lives students are able to discuss ways to protect the environment. Suitable for Year 4-9. This activity takes a "what if...?" perspective and introduces children to the "effect cascade". Thinking about a change in their life (for example no longer being able to go to school), they have to think about the implications that this change would have (for example not being able to read or write).
